Breaking the Life Cycle
About this service
Fleas are the most common parasite we treat in homes with dogs and cats across Cronulla, Miranda, Sutherland, Caringbah and Engadine. A single female lays up to 50 eggs per day — and those eggs fall off the pet into carpet, lounges, pet bedding and floorboard gaps.
The flea life cycle has four stages: egg, larva, pupa and adult. Pupae are sealed in a sticky cocoon that is virtually immune to insecticide — they only hatch when triggered by vibration and CO2 (i.e. a pet or person walking past). This is why fleas seem to 'come back' weeks after a treatment.

Signs of a problem
What's included
Treating the pet alone rarely solves a household flea infestation. Eggs and larvae remain in carpets and soft furnishings, so delay usually means the cycle restarts again and again.
We show up on time, explain the treatment clearly, and back our work with written advice and follow-up recommendations. If you need the next step after an inspection or treatment, you'll know exactly what to do.
Our process
A licensed-technician process built around your property, your schedule, and the specific pest pressure we see across the Shire.
We focus on the indoor areas where pets sleep, rest and move through the most.
Products are selected to affect adult fleas and help interrupt ongoing development from eggs and larvae.
We explain the vacuuming and pet-treatment timing that helps stop the infestation from bouncing back.
Our approach
No two homes, tenancies or commercial sites are the same. Every job gets a tailored plan based on access points, pest pressure, risk level and the outcome you actually need.
Our treatment uses an adulticide for immediate knockdown, plus an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) that prevents eggs and larvae from developing into biting adults. The IGR remains active for 6+ months. Carpets, rugs, pet bedding and subfloor areas are all treated.
Before treatment: vacuum thoroughly (this triggers pupae to hatch), wash pet bedding on hot, and book a same-day vet flea treatment for the pet itself. The two together are what break the cycle — treating the home without the pet, or the pet without the home, almost always fails.
A licensed technician checks the infestation pattern, risk points, conducive conditions and any safety requirements for kids, pets or staff.
We explain the target pest, affected areas, products or monitoring involved, expected results and next steps before work begins.
You get practical preparation advice, a clear treatment summary and a follow-up recommendation to reduce reinfestation risk.

Yes. Household flea control works best when the property treatment and the pet treatment plan are coordinated.
Vacuuming helps, but it does not eliminate the full flea life cycle by itself.
You should see improvement quickly, but complete control depends on life-cycle interruption, pet treatment and follow-up care.
