How In-Ground Termite Baiting Eliminates the Colony
About this service
Sentricon AlwaysActive is an in-ground termite baiting system that uses tamper-resistant bait stations installed around the property perimeter at roughly 3-metre intervals. Each station is pre-loaded with Recruit HD bait — a cellulose matrix infused with noviflumuron, a chitin synthesis inhibitor. Unlike older monitoring-then-baiting systems, every station is "always active" from day one.
Foraging termites looking for new food sources find the stations, feed on the bait, and carry it back to the nest where it is shared with workers, soldiers, the queen and reproductives through grooming and food exchange. Noviflumuron stops termites from being able to moult — without moulting they die. Because the entire colony shares the bait, the queen and her brood are eliminated, not just the workers visible on your property.

Signs of a problem
What's included
Most pest issues grow more complex and more expensive the longer they are left alone. A prompt inspection or treatment usually saves money, inconvenience and avoidable damage.
We show up on time, explain the treatment clearly, and back our work with written advice and follow-up recommendations. If you need the next step after an inspection or treatment, you'll know exactly what to do.
Our process
A licensed-technician process built around your property, your schedule, and the specific pest pressure we see across the Shire.
We assess the problem and where it is starting from.
We explain the right solution, whether that is treatment, monitoring or an inspection report.
You get practical next steps to keep the issue under control.
Our approach
No two homes, tenancies or commercial sites are the same. Every job gets a tailored plan based on access points, pest pressure, risk level and the outcome you actually need.
Installation is non-invasive. There is no trenching, drilling or chemical injection into the soil around the slab. The stations sit flush with the ground and are checked at routine service intervals. This makes Sentricon ideal for properties with complex landscaping, established gardens, pavers, decking or owners who prefer a low-chemical approach.
Sentricon works best as a long-term protection program. Once the original colony is eliminated, the active stations continue to intercept any new colonies pushing into the property — common in bush-fringed Shire suburbs like Bangor, Menai and Heathcote where pressure from the Royal National Park is constant. We service stations annually and replace bait as needed.
A licensed technician checks the infestation pattern, risk points, conducive conditions and any safety requirements for kids, pets or staff.
We explain the target pest, affected areas, products or monitoring involved, expected results and next steps before work begins.
You get practical preparation advice, a clear treatment summary and a follow-up recommendation to reduce reinfestation risk.
Why choose us
Experienced local technicians, compliant treatment methods and written recommendations you can keep on file.
We explain preparation, re-entry timing and lower-impact options clearly before we start any work.
Same-day and next-day booking windows are available across Cronulla, Miranda, Caringbah, Engadine and surrounding suburbs.
We deal with the same termite, cockroach, spider, rodent and coastal pest pressures every week across the Sutherland Shire.
Why local matters
Sentricon is also our first recommendation when termites are already active inside the home. Combined with above-ground bait stations placed directly on live workings, colony elimination is usually visible within 6–12 weeks. Call (02) 9543 0093 to discuss whether Sentricon or a chemical barrier is the better fit.
