Inspect
We assess the problem and where it is starting from.
Termites hide behind plasterboard, render and tiles. FLIR thermal cameras find them without invasive damage. Here's how it works.
About this service
Subterranean termites generate heat and moisture as they feed. Active workings inside a wall cavity create a measurable temperature difference compared to surrounding dry timber — usually 1–3°C. A trained inspector using a FLIR thermal camera can detect that differential through plasterboard, render, paint, vinyl flooring and even some tile finishes without cutting, drilling or removing anything.
Thermal imaging is not a "termite finder" by itself. The camera shows temperature variation; the inspector interprets it. Cold spots can indicate moisture (often the precursor to termite attack), warm spots can indicate active termite workings, and unusual patterns can flag concealed plumbing leaks or roof void issues that would otherwise go unnoticed. The combination of thermal imaging plus a Tramex moisture meter is the most reliable non-invasive detection method available.

Signs of a problem
What's included
Most pest issues grow more complex and more expensive the longer they are left alone. A prompt inspection or treatment usually saves money, inconvenience and avoidable damage.
We show up on time, explain the treatment clearly, and back our work with written advice and follow-up recommendations. If you need the next step after an inspection or treatment, you'll know exactly what to do.
Our process
A licensed-technician process built around your property, your schedule, and the specific pest pressure we see across the Shire.
We assess the problem and where it is starting from.
We explain the right solution, whether that is treatment, monitoring or an inspection report.
You get practical next steps to keep the issue under control.
Our approach
No two homes, tenancies or commercial sites are the same. Every job gets a tailored plan based on access points, pest pressure, risk level and the outcome you actually need.
In a typical Sutherland Shire termite inspection we use thermal imaging in every wet area (bathrooms, laundries, kitchens, ensuites), behind kitchen cabinetry where leaks are common, around window and door frames, on ceilings below the roof void, and on any wall flagged as suspicious by the moisture meter or by visible signs.
Thermal imaging works best in controlled conditions — ideally early morning or late afternoon when temperature differentials are largest, and on walls that have been undisturbed (not recently in direct sun, not next to a running heater). We schedule inspections accordingly. Our reports include thermal images of any anomaly found, plus a clear interpretation.
A licensed technician checks the infestation pattern, risk points, conducive conditions and any safety requirements for kids, pets or staff.
We explain the target pest, affected areas, products or monitoring involved, expected results and next steps before work begins.
You get practical preparation advice, a clear treatment summary and a follow-up recommendation to reduce reinfestation risk.
Why choose us

Why local matters
If we find a thermal anomaly that matches the visual and moisture pattern of termite activity, we recommend a small inspection cut to confirm — always with the owner's consent, always patched and made good. No invasive work is ever done without your written approval. Call (02) 9543 0093 to book a thermal-imaging termite inspection.
